Dr Ella Tagliavini

Dr Ella Tagliavini is a current sport and exercise psychologist in training (SEPiT) with the Chartered Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (CASES). She completed her PhD at Loughborough University in 2023, where she was funded by the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) and International Tennis Federation (ITF) to understand and improve the ways that parents, athletes and coaches work together to foster performance and development.

Previously, Ella has played football for clubs such as Fulham and Chelsea as well as representing England at various youth levels before moving to the USA to compete as a Division One student-athlete at Louisiana State University (LSU) between 2014 and 2017. Ella also spent time living and snowboarding in the French and Italian Alps before returning to England to complete her MSc at Roehampton University in Sport and Exercise Psychology. Ella took a four-year break from football following two consecutive ACL reconstructive surgeries between 2020 and 2022 before returning to play for Fulham FC Women's First team where she continues to compete.

Ella is also a qualified football, futsal, tennis coach and scuba diver and has completed the TASS Athlete Performance Development and Lifestyle Certificate, UK Anti-Doping Certificate and NCFE Mental Health Awareness Certificate. She has experience working for Fulham FC and Leicester City FC, delivering CPD sessions on the UK Sport CPD programme and publishing various articles and modules for international journals and NGBs. Ella also currently lectures to and supervises university students at the University Campus of Football Business (UCFB - Wembley).
